Day 3 : A Journey to Alexandria โ The Pearl of the Mediterranean
Start your day with a scenic drive to Alexandria, where ancient wonders and Mediterranean charm come together. Your first stop is Pompey’s Pillar, a towering monument dedicated to Emperor Diocletian. Next, venture underground to explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the largest Roman burial site in Egypt.
Savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to the Qaitbay Citadel, a fortress built on the ruins of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. End your tour with a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern tribute to the legendary Great Library of Alexandria. In case of closure on Fridays, an alternative visit to the Roman Theater will be arranged. After an enriching day, return to Cairo.
