Nazlet El Samman Village, nestled just a stone's throw away from the Pyramids of Giza, is home to around 20,000 people. Many of its inhabitants work in the tourism sector as camel drivers or owners of numerous papyrus galleries and oriental bazaars. The village is characterized by large, closely-knit families, with clans bearing names such as Khattab, El-Gabri, El-Shaar, Fayed, and El-Komati.
